Featured in the 2026 Trend Report ✨
What an exciting start to the year — and exciting news for this very first blog post: one of my surface pattern designs has been featured in Cat Coquillette’s 2026 Trend Report, under the trend category Motif-Filled Harlequin Patterns.
This trend takes the classic argyle or harlequin grid and fills each diamond with small illustrated motifs. The result is a beautiful contrast between structured geometry and softer, more organic details—bringing together order and personality in a way that feels both timeless and fresh.
About the Featured Design
The featured pattern is part of my Spooky in Style Halloween Collection — a playful yet glamorous take on Halloween. Think a touch of opera-inspired drama: feather boas and pearls, cocktail glasses, and of course pumpkins and ghosts, all wrapped in a bold but charming color palette. The collection translates beautifully across products like stationery, home décor, wallpaper, and gifting.
